Website Responsibilities

This website is funded, managed and operated by Urchfont Parish Council.

Day to day responsibility for management, operation and maintenance of the web site rests with the Clerk to the Council who is the Webmaster under the direction of the Council through a designated Lead Councillor. 

This website was initiated in 2012 but has recently been updated  to a more modern template and  ‘responsive design’ which will adapt automatically to desktop computers, tablets and smartphones. In addition steps have been taken to try to ensure that it complies as much as possible with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’). Please see the 'UPC Accessibility Statement' which appears in the footer of every page.

Any requirement to update, amend or add any item to the website can only be facilitated by the Clerk to the Council to whom any such requirement should be sent - see contact details. The Clerk can also:

  • provide further information or advice about the website on request
  • receive feedback on the current website structure and content.

Urchfont Parish Council reserves the right to reject any requirement submitted if it is coinsidered that it represents a conflict of interest or is inappropriate for publication on this Website.

Urchfont Parish Council accepts no responsibility or liability for the accuracy or content of  pages and/or linked  websites managed by other organisations in the community.

Responsibility for updating and ensuring the accuracy of information on this website rests solely with the organisation to which a menu section or individual page relates, this is particularly relevant to the 'Community' and ‘Amenities’ pages.
