Parish Trust
The Parish Trust was set up in 2002 to benefit the residents of the Parish of Urchfont ‘by promoting and giving financial support to community facilities, social events and recreational activities, the protection of the Parish environment and the maintenance and protection of the traditions, heritage, buildings and monuments of the parish.
The Trust is an independent body administered by nine trustees and receives income from various publications, including the two books about the Parish and the Urchfont calendars. The Trust is also happy to receive donations from individuals or organisations having the future good of the Parish at heart.
Grants may be awarded to groups within the Parish on application to the Trust (care of Urchfont Post Office, The Green, Urchfont, SN10 4QU). The Trust also offers assistance with accounting in the case of smaller or temporary groups not holding a bank account.
Members of the Trust are: Clare Cannon (Chairman), Christine Dolan (Vice Chairman), Peter Cook (Treasurer), Marion Whitehead (Hon Secretary) and Trustees - Alex Middleton, Nicky Mitchell, Fan Prichard, Peter Billiyard, Richard Curtis
The Trust's publications on sale at the Urchfont Community Shop are:
"URCHFONT BY ANY OTHER NAME" - A history of the Parish published in 2001 by the Urchfont Parish Millennium Group
"THE CHANGING FACE OF URCHFONT" - A pictorial record of the Parish published in 2005 by the Urchfont Parish Trust
POSTCARDS - seven available depicting various views and land marks in the Parish
SIX NOTELETS - set featuring two different designs of Parish Views
URCHFONT PARISH CALENDAR - theme for the pictures changes every year, calendar is on sale from October through to February each year.
