Data Protection
From the 25th May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will replace the Data Protection Act 1998. The ICO Commissioner has been quoted as saying that the 25th May should be seen as the start of an implementation journey, not the final destination.
Urchfont Parish Council, as a corporate body, is the DATA CONTROLLER and has the ultimate responsibility for ensuring compliance with this legislation. The Council has delegated this responsibility Day to Day to the Clerk to the Parish Council who will be the initial contact point for any issues or clarification relating to this legislation.
