Urchfont Community Shop

Urchfont Community Shop opened in February 2005 as the result of five years hard work by a dedicated team of local people who wanted to bring back the heart of the village.

Located in a converted building in the grounds of The Lamb Inn in the centre of the village, the shop has easy access and free parking and offers a wide range of goods, many from local suppliers including fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products from Ashton Farm, butchery from Walter Rose of Devizes and sausages and bacon from Sandridge and Lowerfield Farms. Fresh bread is delivered regularly and they have a wide range of products; from ice creams and frozen food to cakes and greeting cards - everything you might expect from your local village store. You can even pick up your Calor Gas and kindling, your prescription and order a regular newspaper!

The Community Shop is also a great source of local information with an advertising board which has a wealth of details from local businesses and groups, and they also sell tickets for most local events.

Run by volunteers, the shop are always looking for more people to join the team. It’s a great way to get to know people especially if you are new to the village and can spare an hour or two now and again. Just pop in or give them a ring to find out more.

The shop is open seven days a week and you can contact them by calling 01380 848700 or emailing ucsa@urchfont.plus.com. You can also follow them on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/urchfontcommunityshop
