Urchfont Community Bus

THE URCHFONT COMMUNITY BUS

The Urchfont Community Bus is run by volunteers for the benefit of the wider community.

We run regular scheduled services to Devizes, via Wedhampton if requested, (price £1 each way) and to Marlborough, Bath and Salisbury once a month (price £4 return). Bus passes can be used. Times are advertised in Redhorn magazine, on posters round the village or by phoning any of the numbers below.

In addition, ‘special day trips’ run during the year to destinations such as Cirencester, Frome, Bristol Cribbs Causeway, London, Highgrove etc. Details and prices are advertised in Redhorn and on the Urchfont Community Facebook page.

Seats for scheduled and special trips must be booked in advance by phoning Linda Jennings 840413, Gill Hill 840794 or Carrie Dolan 07734 262296.

Private hire of the bus is available at a cost of 90p per mile with a volunteer driver. Please phone any of the numbers above for details and to book.

The Bus Committee is always looking to recruit new drivers to join the team. A special licence is not required and full training is provided. If you think you could help, please contact the Bus Committee Secretary, Liz Turner on 848102 for further information.
