40mph Buffer zone on B3098 east of Urchfont - Installed
This 40mph zone was installed on 1st November 2021.
NOTICE has been GIVEN THAT Wiltshire Council proposes to make a Traffic Regulation Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a 40mph speed limit on the following lengths of roads: B3098:
- from a point 31 metres east of its junction with Walnut Close to a point 135 metres east of its junction with Crooks Lane
- Crooks Lane – from its junction with B3098 for a distance of 143 metres in a northerly direction

Documents will not be deposited for viewing at Council Offices which are currently closed to the public due to Covid-19. Comments on the proposal together with the reasons for which they are made should be sent by post to reach the Traffic Order Team, Sustainable Transport, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8JN allowing 7 days, by email to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk or using the response form on the website at https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/troconsultations.htm to reach the Sustainable Transport Group by 12th July 2021 quoting reference LJB/TRO/URCH40.
Implementation of this proposal will go some way towards satsfying attempts by Urchfont Parish Council over a number of years to have the 30mph zone extended to the east of Urchfont to improve pedestrian safety.
